VISION AND MISSION

Purpose

Our goal at Stri Star is to encourage female entrepreneurs and raise money in order to increase the survival percentage of female-run businesses with a social impact. Additionally, to establish a secure and compassionate environment that will have a domino effect that boosts women's engagement in business and the workforce.

Vision

A workplace that is gender-neutral and supports all female entrepreneurs.

Mission

To establish a secure, sympathetic, inclusive, and enabling environment for women entrepreneurs in order to provide workshops, community building, mentoring, and other necessary support. Over the next ten years, support 100,000 women in order to help 90% of them thrive.

OUR PROGRAMS

Induction

A 4-day intensive boot camp designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience for women social entrepreneurs. This immersive program offers the opportunity to connect with experienced mentors, work on your product and gain valuable insights from industry experts. The boot camp provides a safe and collaborative space for participants to connect, exchange ideas, and build meaningful relationships with other women social entrepreneurs in the cohort. This is a unique opportunity to take your business to the next level and gain the skills and knowledge you need to succeed.

Prepare your theory of change

Opportunities to learn and apply the Theory of Change methodology, a systematic approach for planning, participation, and evaluation. Through this process, you will be able to clearly define your goals and identify the necessary preconditions to achieve them, leading to more effective and efficient implementation of your programs and initiatives.

Mentorship

A dedicated team of mentors is at your disposal to help you develop your business acumen. They will provide guidance and support to help you build your skills in areas such as business planning, strategy, leadership, branding, and other relevant topics. These experienced professionals will work with you to help you reach your goals and achieve your full potential.

Workshop

Weekly workshops led by industry experts on topics such as vision and strategy, organizational development and structure, competitive analysis and hiring strategies, to equip participants with skills necessary to succeed in today's competitive business environment and provide a platform for learning, networking and sharing best practices with others.

Building public Narratives

We provide training in storytelling to connect and inspire others through compelling and emotionally engaging narratives. This will help you connect with your audience and achieve your goals, whether it's in a pitch, presentation or proposal.

Impact measure

Learn how to measure and communicate the social impact of your organization through impact measurement training. This will help you evaluate the effectiveness of your programs and initiatives, and communicate their impact to stakeholders.

Networking

Opportunities to expand your professional network by connecting with industry leaders, potential funders, and like-minded individuals in your field, through networking events and other opportunities provided by the foundation.

Follow on Funding

Opportunities for follow-on funding, including guidance on preparing a robust financial model and training on effectively pitching to potential investors, to help you secure the funding needed to grow and scale your business.

Accelerator Program (English and Hindi)

For women ideators who have a concept and are interested in turning those concepts into enterprises, there is a structured 6-month curriculum available. The 5 STEP pillars—empathetic community, capacity building, mentorship, role modeling, and networking and funding opportunities—will support the program. They will receive the essential assistance through a variety of programs and mentoring. Each member will integrate into the thriving STEP community.

The program runs between September – February.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • No age restriction after 18 years old
  • A demonstrated proof of concept
  • Registered business
  • Societal impact

Incubator Program (English & Hindi)

  • WINGS Challenge

    Every year on Women's Day, the Wings Challenge concept competition is organized. The program's goal is to persuade more women to try their hand at business ownership in the hopes that someday there will be a change in the proportion of women business owners in the nation.

    WINGS Program

    College students (women) can participate in a demand-driven program that aims to raise knowledge of problem solutions through a systematic design thinking approach.
